James Doherty - Associate Pastor

Sure the picture is a little outdated.  I don't have that much hair anymore and I've forgotten how to tie a tie, but life brings changes-- good and bad-- and the resources of stability and faithfulness are so valuable.  Ministry through the generations means faithful connections to people, tradition and the needs of a rapidly changing world around us.  St. Matthew is a community of faithful, compassionate, vibrant ministry that has touched the lives of people all over the Portland Metro area for more than 60 years.  We meet for worship every Sunday on Canyon Road in Beaverton.   We hope you will join us soon.

I have been the Associate Pastor at St. Matthew since October of 2000.    I am married to Gloria my wife and we have two children Jake and Elizabeth.  I am connected to many areas of ministry at St. Matthew including Evangelism, Small Groups, Adult Faith Formation and Men's Ministry.  When you come and visit us next please make a point to introduce yourself to me.  Click here to read my letter.
